Why We Love It
Description
The large deck at Summit faces a wooded mountain landscape and was built for the group that wants dinner outdoors with a view: a dining table right on the deck, a Weber grill ready to go, and an outdoor fireplace to take the chill off. Inside, large windows keep that same view in frame, and an indoor/outdoor gas fireplace anchors the living room so the same fire that warms the deck works inside too. Summit sleeps 26 across eight bedrooms in a newly remodeled mountain lodge in Lake Harmony Estates, with an open kitchen and dining area alongside that living space, and a game room with a bar, pool table, and arcade one level below.
The Heart of the Home
The main level stays open so whoever is cooking stays in the conversation. The chef's kitchen has two of everything: two ovens, two refrigerators, two dishwashers, and a beverage fridge. The living area is anchored by the indoor/outdoor gas fireplace with the TV above it and multiple seating areas that face both the fire and the windows. The whole-house sound system carries through every room and out to the deck.
Downstairs, the game room has its own rhythm: a pool table, an Arcade Legends arcade system, a game room bar, and a large Smart TV. The group downstairs and the group upstairs can run entirely independently.
Outdoor Living
The deck is where Summit earns its reputation. In the morning it is the right place for coffee with the trees in view; by evening the outdoor fireplace is going, dinner is off the Weber, and the group is spread across the picnic tables with the mountain behind them. The hot tub sits off to the side for after-dark. The fire pit anchors the lower yard. In winter, Big Boulder Ski Resort is a 7-minute drive and the lit slopes are visible from the deck after dark.

A Perfect Day Around Lake Harmony
From Summit, much of what makes the trip worth taking is within a few minutes of the door. Here is how your local hosts would spend the day:
- Get on the water: Lake Harmony Watersports is a 3-minute drive (0.8 miles); kayaks, paddleboards, and jet skis by the hour for the full group.
- Ski or snowboard: Big Boulder Ski Resort is a 7-minute drive (2.4 miles); close enough for a morning-only ski day that still leaves the afternoon for the hot tub and fire pit.
- Indoor backup plan: H2OOooh! Indoor Waterpark is a 5-minute drive (1.6 miles); year-round and the right call when the weather turns.
- Easy nature for all ages: Thomas Darling Preserve is a 15-minute drive (about 9 miles); flat accessible trails that work for grandparents and toddlers in the same group.
- Boulder Field: Hickory Run State Park is a 25-minute drive (about 10 miles); a sea of glacial boulders that earns its reputation as a full-day trip.
- Track day: Pocono Raceway is a 15-minute drive (about 6 miles); stock car ride-alongs and driving experiences for the group that wants something to talk about on the way home.
- Whitewater: Pocono Whitewater Adventures is a 20-minute drive (about 10 miles); guided rafting and kayaking trips that run spring through fall.
For dining out, three close picks for groups: Austin T's at Lake Harmony Village is about 10 minutes away (4.5 miles) for on-lake dining and a full bar; Legends Bar and Grill at Split Rock is about 15 minutes for a casual group dinner; the dining options at H2OOooh! work for a quick family lunch mid-day.
