With over 166 acres of skiable land, skiers and boarders of all skill levels have determined that Camelback is their favorite Poconos ski resort—especially as 38 of the 39 trails are lit up, allowing for that oh so rare phenomenon of night skiing! If you haven’t flown down the hill under a night sky, well, we’re just going to have to tell you that you truly haven’t lived yet! 16 lifts make the ascent easy, and with 39% of the trails groomed for novice skiers, this spot is popular with people of all ages! 9% of the trails are extremely difficult, so experienced skiers need not worry they will be bored!
Private and group lessons are available for novices or skiers who just want to touch up on their skills. Not everyone lives near a mountain, and skills can get rusty over time. Two terrain parks keep the younger generations happy and busy, with the Progression Park being geared to beginning boarders. This could be your opportunity to try out a new sport, if you dare!
One of our favorite parts of Camelback Ski Resort, however, is the Snow Tube Park, which is the USA’s biggest one in existence. Our children love this place, as do our parents and our friends! Costing as low as $28 for military members (during the off-peak times) and topping out at $40 during weekends and holidays, it’s an expensive and exciting way to fill some of those vacation hours!
