Experience the Best of Halloween Family-Friendly Fun

If you are visiting the Poconos around Halloween with kids and looking for a family-friendly event to attend, Family Fright Night is it! This annual event will be happening on October 28, 2023, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. There will be a costume contest, games, buffet dinner, dancing and much more! This event is hosted at the Kalahari Resort & Convention Center located at 250 Kalahari Boulevard in Pocono Manor.  Tickets can be purchased in advance. Children 3 and under are FREE!

Mazezilla at Klingel’s Farm is an 11 acre corn maze that offers fun for the entire family.  Every year they have a different theme and this years theme is “Music To Our Ears”.  There are wagon rides, 100 foot mountain slides, a pumpkin launch, hay fort, corn pit, barnyard animals and much more!  Visit the pumpkin patch and choose your favorite pumpkin.  And after spending time outside in the fresh mountain air, pick from the many traditional fair foods offered by Dale’s Concessions.  Funnel cakes, chicken fingers, burgers, pizza, French fries and more! Mazezilla is wheelchair accessible! Just note that the ground is bumpy, because the maze is in a field.

Check Out the Electrifying Jack O Lantern Experience This Year

Those who are excited to spend Halloween in the Poconos and are looking for something to add to the itinerary that’s equal parts artistic and spooky will find it waiting for them at the Electrifying Jack O Lantern Experience.  This family-friendly walk through experience is for all ages.  Beginning October 6, 2023, through October 29, 2023 and Halloween night, Thursday through Sunday from 7:00pm-9:00pm, the Electrifying Jack O Lantern Experience invites guests to come and stroll through a collection of thousands of hand-carved and illuminated pumpkins.  The walk is approximately 45 minutes, however there’s no rush.  Explore, take pictures and enjoy this one of a kind artistic lineup!  Tickets are sold in advance (not at the gate), as a timed entrance, so that everyone can make the most of the experience without having to contend with large crowds. Children age 2 and under are FREE!  This is an all-weather event held at West End Fairgrounds 570 Fairground Road in Gilbert.

Elevate the Adrenaline This Halloween

When you find yourself looking for Halloween things to do in the Poconos and you’re longing for some adrenaline-pumping fun to add to the lineup, the team at Skirmish Paintball has you covered. On October 28th and October 29th, they’ll be hosting a Halloween “Blood Vial” Scavenger Hunt that’s for anyone ages 10 and up looking for something unique and holiday-inspired to enjoy while they’re in town. Participants will gear up in their paintball attire and head out in teams to search for “blood vials” that are hidden throughout the facility. Every Vial found wins a FREE PRIZE!  Return them to the armory  or check-in and win a FREE PASS (passes vary).  Prizes range from a Skirmish Deluxe Package, 2 Basic Skirmish Entries, a Pocono Biking Adventure or Whitewater Rafting. Skirmish Paintball is located at 211 North Meckesville Road in Albrightsville.

Haunted Poconos Park is an attraction worth experiencing.  They have activities for all ages.  For children ages 12 and under, there is a fright-free trail for kids to collect candy, participate in interactive games and meet kid-friendly characters, who they can get a picture with at stations along the trail.  Don’t forget to purchase a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch, so you can enjoy the carving and painting stations available.  Wonder through the Corn Maze at McGhee’s Farm, hop on board the Haunted Hayride with family and friends (Limited seats available), warm up by the fire pit with your s’mores kit, indulge in food and drinks (even adult beverages).   Ages 13 and older can enter the Playhouse of Horror, the Largest Haunted House In The Poconos, if they dare.   How brave are you? Take Part in Spooky Days on the Farm

Seeking a unique Halloween-themed experience?  Take part in a guided tour around the farm and help solve a murder mystery!  Come join us for Spooky Days on the Farm being held on October 27th and 28th beginning at 5:00 pm with the last tour beginning at 8:00 pm at Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm. Head over to 347 Quiet Valley Road in Stroudsburg to take part in this exhilarating event.  Tours last anywhere from 1.5 -2 hours. Bring flashlights.  Not Suitable for audiences under 7 years of age.
