2 Stories? No Problem!
You may have noticed that most if not all of our available properties are two stories, but that’s ok; many of our homes have main floor master suites, allowing for easy access to everything needed for a comfortable stay! Wider doors and hallways fit wheelchairs, hardwood floors don’t provide any barriers, and the ability to move furniture around to fit your needs ensures you don’t have to manage an obstacle course just to get to the bathroom or kitchen! One of our favorite homes even has an elevator which ensures that our differently-abled guests can experience and enjoy every square inch of the home they are staying in! And finally, although we generally don’t offer pet-friendly rentals, your service dog with proof of certification is always welcome. Everyone’s needs are different, and we don’t want to do anything that would make your stay less than wonderful!

For those with an affinity for history or for train buffs, the Cresco Station museum in Cresco is a fascinating peek into the history of the railroad in Pennsylvania. The first train came to town in 1851 and the exhibits found here include railroad memorabilia, Civil War artifacts (which military buffs will definitely appreciate!), and a replica of an old general store recreated in perfect detail in what was once the original baggage room of the train station. Comfort food is a Pennsylvania specialty, of course, and when you’re feeling the need for a meal your grandmother might have made you back in the day, there’s no shortage of restaurants to visit! Jubilee Restaurant in Pocono Pines is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and is known for being the “Breakfast King of the Mountains!” The Big Creek Bar-B-Q in Lehighton offers a juicy selection of your favorite barbecue dishes and a reasonably priced selection of specials every day of the week. And last on our list for today, Kartrite’s Summit House in Tannersville is where you’ll find couples on date nights enjoying Lobster Mac, a smooth whiskey, and a quiet night away from their munchkins!
