2 Stories? No Problem!
You may have noticed that most if not all of our available properties are two stories, but that’s ok; many of our homes have main floor master suites, allowing for easy access to everything needed for a comfortable stay! Wider doors and hallways fit wheelchairs, hardwood floors don’t provide any barriers, and the ability to move furniture around to fit your needs ensures you don’t have to manage an obstacle course just to get to the bathroom or kitchen! One of our favorite homes even has an elevator which ensures that our differently-abled guests can experience and enjoy every square inch of the home they are staying in! And finally, although we generally don’t offer pet-friendly rentals, your service dog with proof of certification is always welcome. Everyone’s needs are different, and we don’t want to do anything that would make your stay less than wonderful!
Luxury and Style for All
Of course, in addition to the ADA amenities, each of our accessible vacation rentals in Pennsylvania offer a variety of luxury amenities that range from amazing views to firepits in the yard, gourmet kitchens, and bedrooms designed around premium mattresses. Fireplaces in the living areas, soaking tubs in many of the bathrooms, game rooms with pool tables, and televisions in all the bedrooms are amongst some of our more common amenities, allowing for a stay that is both comforting and entertaining!
Fun in the Poconos
All vacation spots are not created equal, but if you’re looking for adventures to enjoy that are also ADA accessible during your passage to the Poconos, you will soon discover that there is no shortage of fun to be had, whatever your abilities! For example, located just a short distance from your Pocono Mountain Rental ADA escape in idyllic Lehighton is the breathtaking Beltzville State Park. Offering ADA accessible trails that are wide and obstacle free, the crisp clean mountain air will fill your lungs as you and your family make your way through the beauty of the Poconos landscape. For those with an affinity for history or for train buffs, the Cresco Station museum in Cresco is a fascinating peek into the history of the railroad in Pennsylvania. The first train came to town in 1851 and the exhibits found here include railroad memorabilia, Civil War artifacts (which military buffs will definitely appreciate!), and a replica of an old general store recreated in perfect detail in what was once the original baggage room of the train station. And for more fun with the family, the Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark, located at the Camelback Lodge, offers watery fun with ADA that can be enjoyed every day, no matter what the weather is like outside!
Dining Out with Family and Friends
Pennsylvania state laws mandate that restaurants have to follow ADA guidelines, so your dining choices will be without limit! Chow down on an international selection of meals that include Mexican, Italian, and Chinese food. Mi Casa Restaurant in Mount Pocono offers authentic Mexican meals with just the right amount of fire for your taste buds to appreciate, Sortino’s Italian Kitchen in Pocono Manor is famous for their classic old country meals, and China Pearl Restaurant in Blakeslee is where our families go when the craving for Chinese food hits hard!
Comfort food is a Pennsylvania specialty, of course, and when you’re feeling the need for a meal your grandmother might have made you back in the day, there’s no shortage of restaurants to visit! Jubilee Restaurant in Pocono Pines is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and is known for being the “Breakfast King of the Mountains!” The Big Creek Bar-B-Q in Lehighton offers a juicy selection of your favorite barbecue dishes and a reasonably priced selection of specials every day of the week. And last on our list for today, Kartrite’s Summit House in Tannersville is where you’ll find couples on date nights enjoying Lobster Mac, a smooth whiskey, and a quiet night away from their munchkins!
