Journey’s Day Spa, located at 1930 PA-940 in Pocono Pines, is one of our favorite places to visit when we feel the need for some spoiling while staying in cabins near the Poconos. They offer a long list of services that include massages, manicures, and body wraps. Their Royal Journey package is amazing and decadent, but if you’re traveling on a romantic getaway, you may want to try their Couples Journey for an intimate bonding experience.
Dinner and a show can prove to be an outstanding experience, even in rural areas like the Poconos. Take Guy Fieri’s Mt. Pocono Kitchen, located at 312 Woodland Road in Mt. Pocono, for example. Proving that even celebrities can enjoy the idyllic beauty of the Poconos, this chef-driven restaurant is located in a casino, so unless you have a will of steel, be prepared to spend a little more money than you normally would, and when you win at the slot machines, don’t forget that we at Poconos Mountain Rentals showed you the way!
For a more traditional evening out, the Frogtown Chophouse at 472 Upper Swiftwater Road in Swiftwater is famed for its steaks and romantic atmosphere. Offering prime cuts, elegant wines, and a roaring fire to keep your warm and happy, it really is one of our favorite places to eat.
For the theater portion of your evening, the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg is stunningly perfect. The building itself was constructed in the 1920s. Standing tall and strong after nearly a century in use, it’s the home of our local community theater group and offers performances that we all agree are Broadway-worthy! Offering live music and original plays, your evening of the arts will be one you’re guaranteed to enjoy.
And speaking of the arts, the Frazetta Art Museum at 141 Museum Road in East Stroudsburg features a collection from the famed fantasy and science fiction artist, Frank Frazetta. Once his family home and now a tribute to his art which graced comic books, paperback covers, posters, and album covers over the years, it includes some of his most famous works, and as the family still owns the estate and runs the museum, chances are you can meet with one and discuss the late artist in more detail!
It’s All About Comfort
Something else that counts in a luxury cabin is your comfort. We have put a lot of thought into making our luxury cabins near the Poconos as convenient and comfortable as possible. This means that our cabins cater to all body shapes and mobility levels. Many of these cabins are wheelchair accessible. And in the same vein and just to make it more convenient to move around the place, there will be an elevator in many of the storied cabins. So, if you can’t take the stairs or just don’t feel like climbing up or down, the lift is more convenient. And if going upstairs to the bedroom is too much work, you can settle in for the night in the ground floor bedroom with the roll-in shower.
