More Reasons Why You Should Book Long Term Rentals in the Poconos

Obviously, there’s more to consider when deciding on an extended stay in the Poconos, as even the simplest of activities can become prohibitively expensive when repeated daily for more than a week, and our homes are designed to take away your expense worries. Cheerful kitchens with up to date appliances allow you to enjoy more meals in than out, eliminating one of the bigger budget busters of most vacations. Fully equipped laundry rooms allow guests to pack light without fear of running out of outfits to wear, and generously sized closets offer plenty of space to unpack and make yourselves at home. Comfortable furnishings throughout each of the long term rentals in the Poconos invite guests to sink in and stay for a while, and spa-like bathrooms are designed to spoil. And because a longer stay gives travelers more hours to fill with fun and entertainment, many of our properties offer game rooms furnished with full-sized pool, foosball, or ping pong tables as well as arcade video games and the occasional game console. Firepits outdoors and wristbands that grant you access to the beach and pools in the community are more reasons your stay with Pocono Mountain Rentals will be filled with fun every minute of your stay.

Getting to Know the Region

Don’t you hate when you visit somewhere and can’t find a great Mexican restaurant or a wonderful park for the kids to play in while you’re there? You feel out of your element, unsure of what you’re missing, and more than a little bit like a misfit, but when you know the right people (our staff at Pocono Mountain Rentals, for example!), the world opens up to you once more! You’ll soon learn that Skirmish Paintball’s two locations, one in Jim Thorpe and the other located practically next door in Albrightsville, will be the spots that bring a smile to the face of your sullen teen. Offering the opportunity to escape into a live-action version of a video game, there are castles, storage containers, deserted villages, missile silos, and tunnels of fun and excitement! You’ll discover Antojos, 628 Main Street in Stroudsburg, and its fine Colombian food, and you’ll explore the menu of Café Duet, 35 N 7th Street in Stroudsburg, where you might be happily surprised to learn that their gourmet coffee really IS better than the java you order from that chain store based out of Seattle! By the way, their savory scone, served with Jarlsberg cheese, scallions, and ham, is the perfect way to start every day in the Poconos!

Discover the History

We tend to enjoy a place so much more when we learn about its past. For instance, did you know that the first inhabitants of this region were Native Americans from the Delaware, Shawnee, and Iroquois tribes, as well as a few others? The Pocono Indian Museum in Stroudsburg offers a complete picture of the very early days of the Poconos, and to sweeten the pot, a free arrowhead is given with each child admission! It wasn’t until the 1800s, however, that the first hotel was built, and the region was on its way to becoming the vacation destination it is today! It is believed that the Kittatinny House was that first hotel, which unfortunately is long gone, but if you want to view a property from a similar time period, the Asa Packer Mansion Museum located in Jim Thorpe is a close substitute. Built in the mid-1850s, it was the home of a former coal and railroad magnate and is a stunning representation of the lifestyles of the rich and locally famous who lived there during its heyday!

Our Property Management

Other factors in your choice of monthly rentals in the Poconos could be considered more mundane but should definitely be considered. Are you willing to keep up with the yard, do you really want to vacuum, dust, and clean the bathtub? Chances are you won’t, and our property management services will take up the slack and maintain the property, just as we have been doing all along!
