Acorn

Acorn sits in the tree canopy in Lake Harmony Estates, with floor-to-ceiling windows on the main floor that turn the surrounding forest into the backdrop for every common area. Acorn sleeps 21 across six bedrooms and a loft, with three full bathrooms spread across three floors, purpose-built for the multi-generational group that wants everyone under one roof but spread across enough levels that different age groups can set their own rhythm. Two separate fire pits, a private hot tub, a full game room, and Big Boulder Ski Resort less than 2 miles away round out the case.

The Heart of the Home

The main floor opens to a great room with high ceilings, exposed wood beams, and floor-to-ceiling windows framing the tree canopy. A stone fireplace anchors the living area. The dining table seats 10 and a breakfast bar adds three more seats, so the full group can sit down at once without overflow to the kitchen counter. The chef's kitchen is fully stocked: smooth cooktop, dishwasher, drip coffee maker, Keurig, and enough counter space for two cooks to work at the same time. A Bluetooth sound bar carries music through the great room.

Downstairs, the game room keeps the group occupied after dinner: a full-size pool table and a Multicade arcade machine loaded with games, with enough seating to turn it into a proper hang.

Outdoor Living

The main deck has the Weber gas grill and outdoor dining. The lower deck holds the private hot tub. Back in the yard, two fire pits give the group options: a traditional fire pit on the property and a pyramid fire pit set back in the woods for the nights the group wants to disappear into the trees. Jack Frost Ski Resort is 5.4 miles away; in winter, the property sits close enough that a morning ski day still leaves time for the hot tub and fire pit in the afternoon.

A Perfect Day Around Lake Harmony

From Acorn, the lake, the slopes, and the Pocono backcountry are all within a short drive:

• Get on the water: Yeti Watersports at Lake Harmony is a 2-minute drive (0.6 miles); pontoon boats, kayaks, and paddleboards by the hour. Big Boulder Lake's beach club and boat rentals are 4 minutes away (1.3 miles) for a second option.
• Indoor backup plan: H2OOooh! Indoor Waterpark at Split Rock is a 4-minute drive (1.1 miles); 53,000 sq ft of slides, a wave pool, and climate-controlled year-round operation. The default call for rainy days.
• Ski or snowboard: Big Boulder Mountain is a 3-minute drive (1.2 miles); 15 ski trails and a high-capacity snow tubing park, close enough for a late-morning start that still leaves afternoon time at the house.
• Jack Frost: Jack Frost Ski Resort is a 12-minute drive (5.4 miles); top-down lodge layout that keeps non-skiers connected to the group, and more vertical than Big Boulder for the skiers who want a bigger mountain.
• Easy nature for all ages: Austin T. Blakeslee Natural Area is 8 minutes (3.7 miles); flat crushed-stone trails along Tobyhanna Creek, manageable for grandparents and toddlers in the same group.
• The Boulder Field: Hickory Run State Park is about 20 minutes (10 miles); the Boulder Field National Natural Landmark is one of the more memorable easy-to-reach natural features in the Poconos.
• Track day: Pocono Raceway is 12 minutes (6.3 miles); Tricky Triangle tours, driving experiences, and community events run year-round beyond race season.
• A day trip worth it: Jim Thorpe and the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway are about 30 minutes (18.6 miles); vintage train tours through the gorge that work for every age in the group.
