Why We Love It
Description
The name makes more sense from the upper deck. Four levels of log-and-timber construction built into the hillside facing Lake Harmony, three stacked decks looking out over the water, and 5,500 square feet set up for a group that wants everything under one roof. Treehouse sits across the street from Lake Harmony in the heart of Lake Harmony Estates. Nine bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, three living areas, a full game room, a new sauna, and a layout designed so 28 people can share the house without spending the weekend in each other's way.
The Heart of the Home
The top floor is where the group converges. The chef's kitchen, dining area, and living room run open along the lake-facing wall so the cooks stay in the conversation instead of disappearing into another room. Custom log dining tables seat everyone at once; no overflow to the counter, no second seating. Two refrigerators handle the provisioning math for 28. The kitchen has two coffee makers for the inevitable morning rush, full appliance suite, and counter space that can handle a holiday meal. The living area wraps around a gas fireplace with a flat-screen Smart TV and enough seating that nobody ends up standing.
Head downstairs and the basement game room takes over. Big Buck World arcade, full-size pool table, poker table, ping pong, and a dedicated game room bar. Close the door, let the night owls run it, and the people on the upper floors can get to sleep.
Outdoor Living
Three lake-facing decks stacked one above the other, each built for a different part of the day. The upper deck is where you take your coffee in the morning with the lake in view and where the drinks come out at sunset. The mid-deck has the Weber gas grill and outdoor dining setup for the nights the group eats outside. The lower level holds the private hot tub and the new sauna, set away from the main foot traffic of the house. A fire pit anchors the backyard. In winter, once the leaves are down, the lit slopes of Big Boulder are visible from the yard after dark.

A Perfect Day Around Lake Harmony
From Treehouse, most of what makes the trip worth taking is within a few minutes of the front door:
- Get on the water: Lake Harmony Watersports and Yeti Watersports are both under a mile away (3-minute drive); kayaks, paddleboards, pontoon boats, and jet skis by the hour. Good entry point for the whole age range in the group.
- Indoor backup plan: H2OOooh! Indoor Waterpark is a 5-minute drive (1.6 miles); stays open year-round and works as the default fallback on rainy days or cold snaps.
- Ski or snowboard: Big Boulder Ski Resort is a 7-minute drive (2.4 miles); close enough for a morning-only ski day that still leaves the afternoon for the hot tub and sauna.
- More mountain options: Jack Frost Ski Resort is about 18 minutes away (12 miles); bigger vertical, more variety, worth the extra drive when the group wants a full ski day.
- Easy nature for all ages: Thomas Darling Preserve is 15 minutes (9.2 miles); flat accessible trails through wetlands and mixed forest, manageable for every fitness level in a multi-gen group.
- The Boulder Field: Hickory Run State Park is about 25 minutes (11 miles); the Boulder Field is a certified geological feature and one of the more memorable easy-to-reach natural landmarks in the Poconos.
- Whitewater: Pocono Whitewater Adventures is about 20 minutes (10 miles); half-day rafting on the Lehigh River, structured enough for groups who want a guided outdoor activity without a lot of planning.
- Track day: Pocono Raceway is 15 minutes (5.8 miles); driving experiences run on select dates, worth checking in advance if that is on the group's list.
For dining, Lake Harmony Village is under a mile away with several options that work for groups. For a sit-down dinner without much of a drive, Split Rock Resort's restaurants are less than 2 miles. For the full list of nearby restaurants and group dining options, see the PMR Restaurants Page.
