Vroom, vroom!!! If you have “the need for speed,” want to feel the rumble of engines in your feet or want your heart to race as fast as the cars on the track, come to The Poconos for your auto and motorcycle race fix. “The Tricky Triangle” at Pocono Raceway is home to both Nascar and Indycar with races scheduled throughout the summer. And if you’re really brave, jump in the driver’s seat at the Stock Car Racing Experience at Pocono Raceway. Right in the heart of the Pocono Mountains is this family campground. The seasonal campground is open from April until September of every year. You need to register at the RV & Camping Registration. The campground and facilities are free for children 12 and under. These include access to the infield camping areas and trackside RV areas. Registration for adults costs $50 per person. As a camping guest, you get free access to entertainment such as live music on Friday and Saturday nights and fireworks on Sunday nights. When you visit the Pocono Raceway, make sure to stop at the Fan Store. It’s open from 10 am until 4 pm every weekday and on Saturday from 10 am until 2 pm. Sunday it’s closed. You are invited to sign your name on the wall of the store and join hundreds of other names from all over the country. Besides the wall signing, you can find a lot of cool stuff to buy. T-shirts, books, and shot glasses are some of the hot merch at the store. You can also ask to have a free track tour while at the store.
