WaterWheel Café

This fascinating restaurant is built inside of a restored 19th-century water-powered grist mill, and your whole party will be amazed to see this incredible piece of machinery in action! Water pours over the three-story-high water wheel, which drives the shafts, gears, pulleys, and belts that grind the grain. Visitors can explore the mill with a self-guided tour. This functional piece of American history is now open to the public, and WaterWheel Café would love to serve you some delicious American and International cuisine alongside the really cool water wheel! It’s a unique piece of Pennsylvania that you can’t experience elsewhere, and you won’t want to miss it!

Meals at the Mill

WaterWheel Café is open for breakfast and lunch daily, and for dinner from Thursday through Saturday. The breakfast menu is full of yummy home-style choices that won’t break the bank, from a wide variety of omelettes, to breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, French toast, and pastries from the bakery. Lunch offers a vast array of salads and sandwiches, ranging from the familiar to the exotic, with such international options as Grilled Cubano, Banh Mi, and Mousse de Foie de Canard.

Dinner at WaterWheel restaurant really ups the ante, with incredible appetizers like Classic French Mussels and the Mediterranean Sampler, a chef’s selection of pate, seasonal fruits, imported cheeses, and more. Nearly half the dinner menu is Vietnamese-inspired, so you should also expect appetizers like Vietnamese Crispy Fried Shrimp Spring Rolls and Grilled Lamb Meatballs with Mint and Garlic. Entree choices include Crispy Roast Duckling, Basque Seafood Stew, and Pork Osso Bucco.
