The Most Wonderful Time of the Year
The beginning of a new school year has always been a mom’s favorite time of the year, but with the advent of the pandemic, this hasn’t been the case lately, as we’ve had to pick up where teachers were forced to leave off. Check out the covered bridge in Beltzville State Park in Lehighton or explore the mysterious field of boulders (Boulder Field in White Haven) that is suspected to have been formed during the last ice age. There’s so much to see, do, and learn in the Poconos, your children’s education won’t stop with the end of the school day.

All schoolwork and no play will make your child (and you!) cranky and sad, so when the weekend arrives, it will be the perfect time to play, with no thought towards education! Shut down your brain and head over to Pocono Go-Karts and Play Park, located at 5056 Milford Road in East Stroudsburg. Let your young learners take the wheel and perhaps release some frustration as they drive in circles around a track that brings the fun back to competition; teenagers and adults will fall in love with the adult track! Escape rooms are a trend we can firmly get behind and Klues Escape Room, 542 Main Street in Stroudsburg, is the biggest reason why! Offering four different rooms that include The Curse of the Pharaoh, The Mad Hatter, and our personal favorite, the Moonshiner, in which you have to “brew a batch of moonshine” to raise bail. The final escape room, The Mad Scientist, could be a way to restore fun to the science classes your scholars are struggling through during their online schooling sessions; sometimes learning can be fun!
