Luxurious and Comfortable

The beauty of these spaces will be what first attracts you. Soaring ceilings, wood floors in some, tile in others, and gourmet kitchens that make you want to get in there and prepare a feast are just some of the “standards” you can expect from a Pocono Mountain Rentals hideaway. But it’s the comfy sofas in the living room that invite you to sink in and stay awhile as a fire roars merrily in the fireplace, the soft beds that allow for the best night’s sleep, and the extra amenities that will make you glad you chose one of our group vacation rentals in Pennsylvania! Game rooms with pool tables and more are available in many of our larger properties, as are hot tubs on the decks, fire pits in the yard, and large porches designed for extra entertainment space that will fit your entire group. Some homes offer views of the lake, others offer views of the Pennsylvania landscape that will creep into your heart and become a cherished memory long after you have returned to home turf. Each home offers its own ambiance and special features, but all our homes will welcome you from your first steps inside.

Dinners with Friends

Large groups may have trouble finding places to dine out in other vacation venues, but in the Poconos, there’s always someplace that can fit your crowd! Enjoy a hand-tossed pizza in historic surroundings at 403 Broad in Milford or juicy steaks and handcrafted Italian specialties at Bistecca by Il Mulino in Mount Pocono. The beauty of the Poconos is even more expansive when enjoying a picnic in the park, no matter how large your group is! Hickory Run State Park in White Haven or Austin T Blakeslee Natural Area in Blakeslee are just a couple that we love to picnic and play in on our days off!

Venturing Out

Staying in group vacation rentals in Pennsylvania can be so much fun, especially when you choose a Pocono Mountain Rentals vacation escape! However, venturing out will open your eyes to a lifestyle you’ll soon fall in love with. Whether you’ve rented a super-sized SUV to fit your group or are driving everywhere in a convoy with multiple cars, starting with a drive through the Poconos is the best way to get to know the area. Some scenic spots are closer than home than other, but your caravan of travelers will find the further drives worth the extra effort. For example, the town of Milford is about 60 miles or so away from most of our vacation properties, but the picturesque scene is worth driving 10 times further. Looking as if it came straight out of the scenery of The Andy Griffith Show, the charming homes and businesses that dot the landscape, many of which were built in different eras, will all steal pieces of your heart.

The Milford Theater, built over a hundred years ago for use as a silent movie house, still stands, it’s red and white marquee complementing the red brick of the building, offering a testament to the quality of workmanship as it is still in use. The Waterwheel Café, Bakery, and Bar at 150 Water Street offers the perfect spot to enjoy a delicious meal and catch a glimpse of history; as you sit at your table sipping your favorite cocktail, you can see the Upper Mill Grist Mill through the windows. Built in early 1800s and then rebuilt in 1882 after a fire destroyed the original structure, this water wheel is one part of how the town of Milford earned its name (at one point there were nine such mills in town!) and interested parties can take a self-guided tour of the mill and marvel at the ingenious design that has worked so well for nearly two centuries!

If your wanderings lead you to what appears to be a castle, you will have reached yet another of this idyllic small town’s most cherished treasures. Grey Towers, the original home of one of Pennsylvania’s most iconic governors, Gifford Pinchot, stands tall and proud as it overlooks its hometown. Built in 1886, the stones from which this stately mansion was constructed are covered in ivy, offering a hint to the elegant beauty that can be found inside. Tours are offered Thursdays through Mondays from 11AM until 4PM, starting Memorial Day weekend through Halloween.
