Last Chance for Relaxation in Our Poconos Places to Stay
It’s no secret that the holidays can be stressful; they’re accompanied by too many chores, cost too much money, and are generally exhausting—but Halloween is different. This is a holiday where the most stressful decision is choosing between chocolate and candy corn! So, when you decide to head to the Poconos for a stay with us, we work hard to make sure your stay is one filled with comfort and relaxation. The furnishings in our Poconos places to stay invite you to sink in and relax, fully equipped kitchens entice you to throw together a batch of Halloween cookies for your family’s enjoyment, and the soft beds make you feel like you’re sleeping on clouds. If you still have to get some work done over the holiday, many of our rooms make for a comfortable office. And although we may or may not decorate for the holiday, there’s no law that says you can’t put a pumpkin on the porch or pick up a Halloween-specific bouquet of flowers for the dining room table; it’s your getaway and your happiness is all that matters!
A Halloween Bash to Remember
There are lots to do for Halloween in the Poconos, some of which we have described below, but for the introverts amongst our guests, staying in can be just as exciting when you decide to enjoy some holiday shenanigans without leaving the property. Go all out and create a buffet of your favorite dishes with ingredients you picked up during an earlier shopping spree at the Lake Harmony Market: popcorn balls and caramel apples, deviled eggs and avocado toast made to look like Frankenstein’s monster, and for the really creative, a meatloaf shaped into the form of a hand! Turn on some music on a channel devoted to Halloween music, start a fire in the fireplace, and prepare for a night of fun and frivolity. Firepits outside offer the perfect place to gather round and tell ghost stories under the full moon. Many of our properties also offer game rooms with pool tables, arcade games, foosball tables, or game consoles; staying in will be the best idea you have had this holiday season! Hot tubs tucked away in private spaces under the covered patios offer a warm contrast to the chilly night air as they add a romantic touch to your spooktacular Halloween Bash.
Take the Party Out on the Town
For adults 21 and over, the temptation to dress up and hang out with other ghouls and ghosts can be overwhelming, and when you spend your Halloween in the Poconos, the Monster Ball Bash in nearby Palmerton is a popular place to do so! Offering live music to which you can dance the night away, giveaways, and prizes for the best costumes, this exciting bash is exactly what the extrovert traveler is seeking! Prizes are offered for many different categories of costumes, such as sexiest, scariest, best couple, fan favorite, and most creative, to give you some ideas for planning your costume. If you didn’t plan ahead and bring your own costume, or if you just aren’t the creative type, Party City in Stroudsburg and Frazee’s Costumes in East Stroudsburg offer a generous selection of creative costumes and are located just 30 minutes away from your Lake Harmony holiday escape. Be sure to take some time to enjoy the fall foliage on your drive; this time of year in the Poconos is arguably the most beautiful time of the year as the trees don their most fiery seasonal garb!
