The Poconos is known for welcoming every event and turning it into a festival. That’s only to be expected since this is a tourist destination and visitors come here to celebrate and have a great time. When you have a joyous holiday like Easter, you bet that it will be celebrated up and down the mountains. And since Easter is not just for children—grownups also love to take part—there will be egg hunts and more to enjoy everywhere in the Pocono Mountains. What all this means is that your Easter in the Poconos will be unlike anything else!
Homemade Easter Egg
Not every day will you go to a tourist destination and find something crafted by hand with attention to detail—but that’s what the Dingmans Ferry United Methodist Church offers every Easter. They color the eggs and turn them into pieces of art. You can buy as many eggs as you want and have your own Easter egg hunt. The eggs come in different flavors. They are dark chocolate mint, milk and white chocolate peanut butter, chocolate milk chocolate, and dark and milk chocolate coconut.
Egg Hunt and Coloring
If you have a knack for painting and love Easter, then you’re in luck. St. John’s Evangelical Congregational Church combines those two into one festive event. You can color the eggs and also take part in egg hunts. There are egg hunts for children and another for adults. The winners will get prizes as usual.
Easter Bunny
Tolino Vineyards hold their own egg hunt festival every Easter. Admission costs $5 per child. Children will take part in the egg hunt, take photos with the Easter Bunny, and enjoy other activities and games.
Easter Land
Easter and carnivals go together. Community Church has two locations, and both celebrate Easter in an elaborate way. Besides the carnival ride, there’s also an egg hunt, petting zoo for children, and much more. Children get a free bag of candy each and get a chance to win prizes.
Peter Cottontail Picnic/Easter Egg Hunt
Combining Easter with a picnic is a great way to enjoy the whole day. Children hunt for eggs and eat hot dogs off the grill. There are egg hunt events for different age groups, and you’re encouraged to bring your own egg basket to collect the eggs.
