Why We Love It
A new 6 bedroom and 4 bath vacation home, custom built Eagles Nest is located in the highly sought after community of Lake Harmony Estates. Many summer and winter area attractions are close by.
Description
Eagles Nest sleeps 21 and was custom-built for multi-generational families gathering near Lake Harmony. This 6-bedroom, 4-bath home sits on a quiet, wooded section of the Lake Harmony Estates, positioned between the Village side of the lake and the Big Boulder side of the mountain so the morning beach run and the afternoon snow tubing are both inside a 3-minute drive. Three stories built of stone, glass, and brick; vaulted ceilings crossed with wood beams; floor-to-ceiling windows that pull the Pennsylvania landscape into every room.
The Heart of the Home
The great room is anchored by a stone fireplace with a flat-screen TV mounted above the mantle and plush seating arranged for both interesting conversations and unplanned naps. The chef’s kitchen runs with full appliances and bar seating, and the dining table seats 10 so the whole group can sit down to a single meal. Roku-equipped smart TVs in every bedroom mean the morning news crowd, the cartoon crowd, and the late-night crowd can each settle in on their own terms.
A second living space adds the game room, where a vintage multicade arcade, an Arcade Legends 3, and a full-size pool table share space with a bar that’s ready to be stocked. Close the door, let the teenagers take over, and the parents upstairs can hear themselves think.
Outdoor Living
The wrap-around porch is built around an outdoor gas fireplace with multiple seating areas pulled in for evening conversation. The Weber gas grill is ready for the group cook. The hot tub sits steps away for post-activity recovery. The fire pit and custom benches anchor the back of the property for s’mores and ghost stories. In winter, Big Boulder’s lit slopes are visible from the deck.

A Perfect Day Around Lake Harmony
From Eagles Nest, the lake and the slopes are within a few minutes of the door. Here is how your local hosts would spend the day:
- Get on the water: Lake Harmony Estates Private Beach is 0.5 miles (12 minutes on foot, 1 minute drive). The picnic grove and shaded sand are grandparent-friendly and work as a home base for a large family. Open Memorial Day through Labor Day.
- Take the boat out: Lake Harmony Watersports (0.9 miles, 3 minutes) rents pontoons and runs guided water-skiing tours, the easiest way to get a multi-generational group on the water at once. Summer only.
- Indoor backup plan: H2Oooohh! Indoor Waterpark at Split Rock Resort (1.3 miles) is 53,000 square feet of slides and wave pools. Year-round and weather-proof; this is when the house is the destination.
- Easy nature for all ages: Austin T. Blakeslee Natural Area (4.4 miles) offers flat, well-maintained creek-side trails that are stroller-friendly and grandparent-friendly. Year-round.
- The Boulder Field: Hickory Run State Park (10.5 miles) holds the Boulder Field National Natural Landmark, a paradise for active kids who want to climb and explore. Year-round, with seasonal road conditions.
- Low-effort, high-reward group ride: The Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway (16 miles) runs a narrated train trip through the mountains from historic Jim Thorpe. Year-round, with special holiday trains in winter.
- Snow days: Big Boulder Mountain (1.2 miles, 3 minutes) features a snow tubing park that works for non-skiers and thrill-seekers alike. Winter only, typically December through March.
- Track day: Pocono Raceway (6 miles) hosts NASCAR weekends and food festivals through spring, summer, and fall, plus seasonal light shows in winter.
For dining out, Boulder View Tavern (1.5 miles) is the closest pick: a large lake-view restaurant with a varied menu and outdoor seating that handles big family dinners.
