Arrowhead Lodge is a fan-favorite for good reason. This stone-and-cedar A-frame chalet in Lake Harmony Estates sits on a wooded lot with 2,900 square feet spread across three floors, six bedrooms, and three full bathrooms, sleeping up to 16 guests in a layout built for groups who want to be together without being on top of each other.

The Lodge Experience

The main living area is open and social, with high vaulted ceilings, exposed wood beams, and a wall of glass that pulls the surrounding tree canopy inside. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped, and the Weber gas grill on the deck is fueled and ready when someone in the group decides they are cooking tonight. In the warmer months, that deck becomes the natural gathering point, overlooking a private wooded backyard.

Downstairs, the game room keeps the group entertained for hours: a pool table, a flat-screen TV, and a classic arcade machine loaded with 60 free-play games. When the evening settles in, the private 6 to 8 person hot tub is steps away, tucked in for privacy beneath the deck. And when the fire calls, the custom iron fire pit with bench seating set back in the woods is where the night ends, under the Poconos sky.

A Perfect Day in the Poconos

From Arrowhead Lodge, the best of Lake Harmony is within a few minutes in any direction. Here is how your local hosts would plan the day:

• Start on the water: Lake Harmony Watersports (0.5 mi) rents pontoon boats for the whole group or puts the younger crowd on a wakeboard. H2Oooohh! Indoor Waterpark at Split Rock (1.2 mi) is the backup plan for a rainy day, with high-speed slides for the thrill seekers and a leisure pool and hot tubs for everyone else.
• Hit the trails: Austin T. Blakeslee Natural Area (4 mi) offers easy, flat walking along Tobyhanna Creek, accessible for all fitness levels. For something more dramatic, Hickory Run State Park (10 mi) has the Boulder Field National Natural Landmark, great for scrambling kids, and the short Hawk Falls trail (0.6 mi) suits most ages.
• Winter days: Big Boulder Ski Resort (1 mi) is the closest spot for snow tubing, zero skill required and a blast across all ages. Jack Frost Ski Resort (11 mi) offers more vertical for the skiers in the group.
• Make a day of Jim Thorpe: About 15 miles out, this "Little Switzerland" town pairs well with the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway, a vintage train ride through the gorge that works for grandparents and toddlers alike.
• A big day option: Kalahari Resorts (16 mi) is one of the largest indoor waterparks in the country, with a full arcade and dining, when the group wants an all-in-one destination.
• Local staple: Pocono Raceway (6 mi) hosts track rental days, air shows, and festivals year-round beyond race season.
