Wine Down

Wine Down is 4,404 square feet across three floors in the private Towamensing Trails community, with 650 square feet of exterior decking and a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace that runs the full height of the great room. Wine Down sleeps 18 across seven bedrooms and five bathrooms, purpose-built for the large group that wants room to spread out and slow down after a day outside. Big Boulder Mountain is 6 minutes from the front door; Hawk Falls trail is 7 minutes; and the community's private beach is the kind of thing that keeps groups coming back to the same address every summer.

The Heart of the Home

The great room is built around the stone fireplace, which runs floor-to-ceiling and anchors the soaring vaulted ceilings on the main level. The open layout puts the fully equipped kitchen, dining for eight, and living area together in one continuous space. Smart TVs with Roku in every bedroom. The chef's kitchen has full appliances, smooth cooktop, and everything a group of 18 needs to run a proper meal.

The lower-level game room earns its square footage: a pool table, full-size shuffleboard table, foosball, a game room bar, and two large flat-screen Smart TVs set up for game days. It functions as a separate social zone for the part of the group that wants to stay up after the main floor winds down.

Outdoor Living

Six hundred and fifty square feet of exterior decking across multiple levels give the group plenty of room outdoors. The upper deck has the Weber gas grill and mountain views at sunset. The private hot tub is set for post-activity recovery. The Towamensing Trails community beach and pool are a 2-to-5-minute drive from the house (8 wristbands provided; see Please Note).

A Perfect Day at Towamensing Trails

From Wine Down, the community's private amenities are minutes away and the broader Poconos backcountry is a short drive out:

• Community beach and pool: Lake Towamensing's private 190-acre spring-fed beach, outdoor pool, and volleyball courts are a 2-to-5-minute drive; open Memorial Day through Labor Day. The Towamensing Trails Clubhouse has a casual menu and game room year-round for the evenings the group stays in the community.
• Easy nature for all ages: Hickory Run State Park's Hawk Falls trail is 7 minutes (5.3 miles); a flat 0.6-mile walk to a 25-foot waterfall that works for toddlers and grandparents equally well.
• Paintball: Skirmish USA is 6 minutes (4 miles); 750 acres and 50+ maps, a strong pick for teens and groups who want a competitive outdoor afternoon.
• Ski or snow tube: Big Boulder Mountain is 6 minutes (4.8 miles); one of the fastest snow tubing hills in the region plus ski trails for all levels.
• Track day: Pocono Raceway is 8 minutes (5 miles); NASCAR events spring through fall and a holiday light drive-thru in winter.
• Indoor backup plan: H2OOooh! Indoor Waterpark is 10 minutes (7.2 miles); open year-round, the default rainy-day call.
• The Boulder Field: Hickory Run State Park's Boulder Field is 15 minutes (9.5 miles); a National Natural Landmark and a good half-day excursion for the group that wants something geological.
• Scenic train and history: The Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway in Jim Thorpe is 20 minutes (14 miles); narrated vintage train tours through the gorge with seasonal holiday rides in fall and winter.
